Model Train Displays
The Friends of Fairfax Station, Inc. is so very grateful to the wonderful model train groups that support us by displaying their model trains at the museum.
Annual Model Train Displays from the HO Potomac Module Crew, Monty’s Lego trains and the Northern Virginia NTRAK N scale club are the first weekend in May, and on Sunday and Monday during Labor Day weekend. They also run their trains during the Annual Holiday Train Show the first weekend in December.
In addition to the annual shows, Northern Virginia NTRAK has a permanent N scale layout in the caboose and sets up their modules to run trains in the Community Room the 3rd Sunday of each month (excluding December and January).
The Washington Virginia & Maryland Garden Railway Society runs its G scale trains on the 3rd Sunday of January and the members have a wonderful outdoor layout during our Holiday Train Show.
The museum has a permanent display case of Standard gauge model trains on loan from Hope and Dan Danielson. They run other trains during our Annual Holiday Train Show.
Other model train groups and individuals also have running trains during our Annual Holiday Train Show (see below).
The museum plans to add more model train events and shows. Please contact us if you or your group/organization is interested in participating.
