Directions - How to get to The Fairfax Station Museum The Fairfax Station Railroad Museum is located approximately 20 miles west of Washington D.C. We are located south of Fairfax, Virginia; about 3 miles south of Braddock Road and Route 123 (Ox Rd.) To reach the station from the Washington area, follow I-66 west to the Fairfax County Parkway (VA route 7100) and take the Parkway south, toward Springfield and Route 123, then follow the directions below. From Fairfax County Parkway Northbound or southbound, follow the Parkway to the light at Burke Centre Parkway and turn to the east (the only turn possible). Follow Burke Centre Parkway east for approximately 1/2 mile to the first light at Ox Road (VA route 123), and turn left (north). Turn left again (west) at Fairfax Station Road (the second light). Follow Fairfax Station Road for approximately 1/2 mile. The station is on the right. From Fairfax City and George Mason University Take Ox Road (VA route 123) south to Fairfax Station Road and turn right. Follow Fairfax Station Road for approximately 1/2 mile. The station is on the right. From Burke and Lorton Follow Burke Centre Parkway west to Ox Road, or from the Lorton area follow Ox Road (VA route 123) north. After the intersection of Ox Road and Burke Centre Parkway, go north to the second light and turn left at Fairfax Station Road. Follow Fairfax Station Road for approximately 1/2 mile. The station is on the right.
